A traveler went to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, not just for spiritual reasons, but to experience the amazing food. While exploring, he found a small Arabian restaurant where he tasted delicious grilled meats, crispy fries, fresh bread, and appetizers like hummus and fattoush. The food was so good, it felt like he was experiencing the heart of the Middle East. When he returned to Pakistan, he was disappointed that he couldn’t find the same flavors. So, he decided to bring that authentic Arabian food to Pakistan by creating “Hungry Habibi” in 2023.Instead of opening a big, expensive restaurant, he created a cloud kitchen. This way, he could focus on using the best ingredients and hiring talented chefs, offering tasty Arabian food at affordable prices.Even with a small dining space, Hungry Habibi now brings authentic Arabian food to everyone, no matter where they come from.
Hungry Habibi excels in taste, quality, and experience. The Arabian Platter, Turkish Cheese Kabab, Hummus, and Chicken Mandi are all delightful and worth every bite, with generous servings. Complimentary yakhni adds a nice touch. For fans of Middle Eastern cuisine or food enthusiasts, this restaurant is a must-visit.
Excellent Food and Ambiance. Little bit messed up seating but once you are settled in everything feels cosy. Manager, Faisal, was very attentive in listening and fulfilling customer queries. Complimentary Yakhni was unexpected. The place I will visit again and will recommend to others as well.
Last night, I visited Hungry Habibi in SMCHS and despite it being a weekday, there was a 25-minute wait before we got a table on the 2nd floor. The seating area felt a bit compared to other Mandi spots, but the food made up for it. We ordered the Arabian Platter, Chicken Madbee, Chicken Faham, Chicken Pide and Kunafa for dessert, which was the highlight of the meal. The quality, quantity and rates were excellent. However, note that they charge 8% GST for card payments and 15% GST for cash. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend trying it!
I tried this newly opened place today, they have a table chair setup as well as floor seating. Service is good and waiters are respectful. The quality of food is reasonable and it's value for money. The taste of the food is also good, I won't compare it with Mandi House that's, but it's quite reasonable. Cards are accepted here but no discounts available. I would recommend to give it a try.
I recently visited Hungry Habibi with friends and overall, it was a good experience, but there were some notable downsides.😕The biggest disappointment was the waiting time, which was around 1.5 to 2 hours. There was no proper waiting area, so we found ourselves standing in front of the gate with other families, which was quite uncomfortable.🕒🚶♂️Once we were seated, we opted for the traditional seating and ordered the mutton dasti and the Arabian fest platter. I have to say, both dishes were delicious and definitely worth trying.🍽️ However, I was surprised to find that they charge extra for additional sauces. I recommend the spicy mandi sauce, which costs 300 per dip – it adds a great kick to the meal!🌶️💰In summary, while the food was tasty, the long wait and lack of a comfortable waiting area were significant downsides. If you're planning to visit, be prepared for a wait, but definitely indulge in their flavorful dishes!
Hungry Habibi offers a varied experience with some highlights. The complimentary yakhni was overly spicy with a strong, unusual flavor. The hummus could be more authentic, though the fresh pita bread served alongside was delicious. Standout dishes included the mutton harara, which was tender and juicy with aromatic rice, and the Turkish cheese kebabs, which were simply excellent. The chicken meshwi was also well-prepared. The staff is professional and attentive. The restaurant provides both table and traditional ground seating, both of which are clean and comfortable. Valet parking is available, a convenience given the usual difficulty finding parking nearby.
